To install FinerEdge Calculator version 2.8 or above, you must first have downloaded and installed the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), release 1.6.x or greater. For all other types of machines other than Windows, Linux and Solaris, please download the latest Java Runtime Environment, release 1.6.x or greater, from your respective vendor.

To install FinerEdge Calculator for Windows, please double-click on the downloaded file "install.exe" in the Windows Explorer or run the downloaded file from the "Start Run" menu.

To install FinerEdge Calculator for Linux, please perform a "chmod 0744 install.bin" from the applicable directory and then start "install.bin".

To install FinerEdge Calculator for all other operating systems, please type the text "java -jar install.jar" into a command prompt and press the Enter key.
